I’m a software developer by day, and a writer by night. I’ve been writing fiction since grade school, when a particularly morbid class assignment had me write a future obituary for myself, and I liked the idea of being remembered as a story-teller.
I think the best stories are ones where something impossible happens.
I live in Minnesota, with my wife, three children, and one tiny dog.
Words Deferred is a fiction writing blog and the online home of my short stories and serialized fiction.
I’m committed to a radically open writing process, where I document everything from planning and outlining to writing and editing to cover art and self-publishing. I love to learn about how other writers do their work, and I hope that my development journals are fun and useful to others.
